Wellesley MA Full time R0014580 The Research & Instruction Librarian, Business Generalist develops and delivers customized instruction that integrates essential business intelligence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; designs effective and accessible learning experiences; and serves as a strategic partner in aligning instructional support with research services. This role supports students in experiential learning programs, guiding them as they apply business concepts and tools within realworld business contexts. WHAT YOU WILL DO
YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE N/A WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies/Science from a school accredited by the American Library Association. At least 1-3 years of post MLS library experience Strong and dynamic classroom presence and presentation skills with evidence of strong interest and success with learning, implementing, and teaching using current and emerging information technologies. Knowledge of best practices of instructional design as applied to in person, online, synchronous and asynchronous instruction Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and other community members. Commitment to the development of deep knowledge in business-related disciplines. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access etc.). Envisions and proposes new methods to perform tasks that support Entrepreneurial Thought & Action (ET&A); takes thoughtful risks; and accepts new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results. Anticipates and embraces change; demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK This position requires a varying work schedule and may include some evening hours. Requires onsite work 3 days per week; the on-campus requirement is subject to modification based on liaison responsibilities and organizational need. ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE
This is an exempt position with the following pay range: $70,133-- $77,925; the role is also eligible for bonuses based on performance and budget. Babson College offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees working at least 28 hours per week.
