Job Summary

This is a Hybrid role in Downtown Atlanta, looking for local candidates.

Grady Health System is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic IT Project Manager to join our IT team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of 30+ concurrent IT projects supporting critical hospital operations, clinical systems, and administrative infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in structured communication using the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) framework to ensure clear, actionable, and professional interactions with all stakeholders across the healthcare enterprise

* Plan, organize, and execute a portfolio of 30+ diverse IT projects concurrently across clinical systems (EHR, PACS, laboratory, pharmacy), infrastructure (network, security, cloud), and administrative platforms

* Ensure successful project completion within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards while managing competing priorities and resource constraints

* Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definition, work breakdown structures, detailed schedules, resource allocation, budget estimates, risk assessments, and quality criteria

* Define clear project objectives, success criteria, and deliverables aligned with organizational strategic goals and stakeholder requirements

* Monitor portfolio health using established KPIs and metrics, proactively identifying deviations from baselines and implementing corrective actions

* Balance strategic initiatives with operational demands, making data-driven prioritization decisions that maximize organizational value.

* Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including IT teams, clinical staff (physicians, nurses, allied health), hospital administration, vendors, and external partners

* Conduct thorough requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, and workflow analysis to ensure complete understanding of business needs

* Assess project feasibility through technical analysis, resource availability review, budget validation, and risk evaluation before making go/no-go recommendations

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders, department heads, and executive sponsors to ensure sustained engagement and support

* Facilitate project steering committees, working groups, and stakeholder meetings using structured agendas and SBAR-formatted updates

* Navigate competing stakeholder interests and organizational politics with diplomacy, finding win-win solutions that advance project objectives.

* Coordinate complex project activities including scheduling meetings, arranging resources, managing vendor engagements, and ensuring equipment/infrastructure readiness

* Optimize resource allocation across project portfolio, balancing team member workloads and identifying resource gaps requiring augmentation

* Manage vendor relationships including contract oversight, performance monitoring, deliverable acceptance, and issue resolution

Coordinate cross-functional dependencies between projects, IT operations, clinical departments, and facilities to ensure seamless execution

Looking for 4+ years of PM experience in IT/Construction with a Bachelors degree in Construction Management/Industrial Engineering/IT/PM/Facilities Management. Will accept AS degree with additional 2 years of experience.
