What You'll Do:
- Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with client's strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive assessment.
- Assess risks and opportunities of prospective investments.
- Lead the investment process from initial screening through transaction execution.
- Prepare detailed investment memos, presentations, and financial models for investment committee review.
- Structure and negotiate investment terms, collaborating with internal and external legal counsel.
- Develop investment rationale and present credit approval requests.
- Actively monitor and manage portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and operational support.
- Track performance metrics, identify growth drivers, and implement value creation initiatives.
- Facilitate portfolio company interactions with external stakeholders.
- Maintain regular contact with internal teams (accounting, loan operations, risk controlling, legal) and external teams (outside counsel, financial advisors) to ensure smooth execution and maximize recovery.
- Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies within the venture capital ecosystem.
- Cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and co-investors to enhance deal flow.
- Represent client at industry conferences and networking events.
- Collaborate with senior partners and investment team members on strategy.
- Mentor junior team members and ensure compliance with client's internal reporting requirements.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration or Economics.
- 7+ years of proven experience in venture debt or a related field.
What Sets You Apart:
- Master of Business Administration.
- Demonstrated success in executing investments.
- Direct experience underwriting Venture Debt transactions and an extensive network within the Venture Debt or Venture Capital communities.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills for complex investment opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate investment theses and influence stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with deep understanding of technology, innovation, and market dynamics across various sectors.
