Compensation: $130-$150/hr.

What You'll Do:
  • Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with client's strategy.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive assessment.
  • Assess risks and opportunities of prospective investments.
  • Lead the investment process from initial screening through transaction execution.
  • Prepare detailed investment memos, presentations, and financial models for investment committee review.
  • Structure and negotiate investment terms, collaborating with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Develop investment rationale and present credit approval requests.
  • Actively monitor and manage portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and operational support.
  • Track performance metrics, identify growth drivers, and implement value creation initiatives.
  • Facilitate portfolio company interactions with external stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular contact with internal teams (accounting, loan operations, risk controlling, legal) and external teams (outside counsel, financial advisors) to ensure smooth execution and maximize recovery.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies within the venture capital ecosystem.
  • Cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and co-investors to enhance deal flow.
  • Represent client at industry conferences and networking events.
  • Collaborate with senior partners and investment team members on strategy.
  • Mentor junior team members and ensure compliance with client's internal reporting requirements.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration or Economics.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in venture debt or a related field.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Master of Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated success in executing investments.
  • Direct experience underwriting Venture Debt transactions and an extensive network within the Venture Debt or Venture Capital communities.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills for complex investment opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate investment theses and influence stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with deep understanding of technology, innovation, and market dynamics across various sectors.
