Responsibilities

Job Summary: Work with the Continuous Improvement Team to provide statistical analysis support and mentoring to employees.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Information Technology group with data structure and interface planning.
  • Use statistical analysis tools such as SAS, JMP, Minitab, R, Python, and Power BI to identify correlations, optimizations and improve organizational understanding of pertinent subject matters.
  • Provide and coordinate data analytics training.
  • Develop and test new analytic approaches and applications within Howmet.
  • Support yield improvement activities with advanced data analytics at Howmet facilities globally.
  • Work closely with diverse technical teams on process improvement and development efforts.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, project planning ability, and ability to effectively use MS Office applications.
  • Self-starter, strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel within a team environment.
  • Must be able to function as a member of the team
  • Must be able to maintain expected quality levels
  • Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and HR Policies

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in analytics post-graduation
  • Hands on experience and proven success in manipulating and applying advanced statistical analysis methods to real world data
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical software packages and advanced analytics software packages and advanced analytics techniques
