About the Role

We are looking for a Transportation Civil Engineer I-II to join our team in support of transportation design. This position will be based out of Seattle, Puyallup, or Silverdale, Washington. This position can work a hybrid schedule coming into the office at least 2-3 days per week for team and client collaboration, mentorship, and integration.

You Will:

  • Assist in the design of transportation infrastructure for cities and counties throughout the Puget Sound Region, including:
    • Roadways, intersections, and corridors
    • Bicycle and pedestrian facilities
    • Highway and freeway improvements
    • Fish passage culverts
    • Traffic control and signing/striping plans
  • Assist in the development of roadway plans, profiles, and cross sections using industry-standard design software.
  • Assist in the development of engineering documents such as plans, estimates, and technical reports.
  • Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and other disciplines.
  • Contribute to roadway design elements such as horizontal and vertical alignments, storm drainage systems, traffic control plans, and ADA-compliant pedestrian facilities.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related field.
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and interest in transportation design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Compensation Information: Base salary for this position is in the range of $78,000-$88,000.

Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. We value transparency and look forward to discussing our compensation structure.
