Solder Assembler Location: Oldsmar, FL Job ID: #72447 Pay Range: $22-26 We are seeking a highly skilled Solder Assembler with deep expertise in surface?mount technology (SMT) reflow processes and solder defect identification. The ideal candidate will have proven experience using soldering equipment for touch?up work, hold current or past IPC and J?STD certifications, and be familiar with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) as a plus. Key Responsibilities Perform precise manual soldering and touch?up operations on SMT assemblies using soldering irons, hot?air, reflow, and solder?pot equipment. Identify, classify, and remediate common solder defects (e.g., tombstoning, bridges, voids, insufficient wetting, solder balls). Conduct visual inspections and utilize AOI systems to verify solder quality and compliance with specifications. Maintain and calibrate soldering tools, reflow ovens, and touch?up equipment per LM quality standards. Document defect trends, corrective actions, and process improvements in accordance with LM's Quality Management System. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support new product introductions and continuous?improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to all safety, ESD, and environmental protocols.
