Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves working with Teradata and ETL technologies for AML (Anti-Money Laundering) application initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for refining the data model for customer and account data by sourcing, developing, and managing future enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and clarify reporting needs
• Analyze data sources, data structures, and business rules required to support reporting
• Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL and BTEQ scripts
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT logic within Teradata
• Create and manage tables, views, macros, and stored procedures
• Tune queries for performance (AMP usage, indexing, partitioning)
• Support production jobs and troubleshoot data issues
• Conduct detailed validation and functional testing of reports against requirements
• Perform root-cause analysis for discrepancies and ensure data integrity
• Prepare deployment packages and follow proper change management processes
• Publish and schedule reports in the production environment
• Ensure proper access controls, documentation, and post-deployment validation

Requirements:

• Experience with Teradata
• Experience with Informatica and IICS Cloud
• Experience with Shell scripts
• Experience with Autosys

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
