Summary
Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of a hospital or other healthcare facility. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets. Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment. Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass. Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas. Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed. Picks up debris around the building. Operates and controls high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines. Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events and normal hospital activities. Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work independently but also be a team player. - Good communication and comprehension skills. 11pm-730am Monday-Friday Rotating Weekends/Holidays The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
