DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The employee in this position will serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Regional Manager of the Harrisburg Regional Counseling Center, which serves employees who work, and retirees who live, in Dauphin, Lebanon, Perry, Cumberland, Adams, and York counties. This position supports grieving families through facilitating the death benefit process when a member collecting a monthly pension payment dies. The position also assists in receiving visitors, answering telephones, opening and distributing mail, and scanning and indexing returned forms.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a one-hour unpaid meal period.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time (hybrid telework schedule), depending on operation needs and progress in learning assigned tasks. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office specified in this job posting. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
