The Administrative Officer 2 (AO2) position in the Bureau of Fisheries is a highly independent job working directly for the Bureau Director. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The AO2 is responsible for the overall administrative support system for Bureau of Fisheries. The AO2 provides and directs administrative support for the Bureau of Fisheries to include, but not limited to, purchasing, fiscal, payroll, HR liaison, training, and clerical support services. The AO2 is responsible for a full range of management functions to include generating and monitoring the yearly budget and financials, tracking and assisting with hiring of full-time and wage positions, grant and project tracking, purchasing, purchase order (PO) and non-PO monitoring and invoice submissions, among other administrative functions. The position requires a high level of written and verbal communication. The AO2 performs the full range of supervisory functions, including the supervision of one full-time Clerical Assistant 2.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bellefonte. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); OR
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
