Role Overview

Walton Enterprises is seeking an experienced, highly motivated candidate to join the Walton Investment Team ("WIT") as a Senior Advisor, Investments in Bentonville, AR.

The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of multi-asset class portfolio management as part of a growing investment office. We are looking for individuals with strong client-facing and communication skills who are interested in investments, capital markets, and are comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

About the Position

The Senior Advisor, Investments plays a critical leadership role in managing diversified, multi-asset portfolios on behalf of the Walton family and affiliated foundations. This position partners with senior leadership and family members to oversee portfolio construction, risk management, investment selection, and performance monitoring. The Senior Advisor will engage directly with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and external investment professionals to execute investment strategies aligned with the family's long-term financial and philanthropic objectives.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities Include:

    All aspects of portfolio management, from development of investment policy to portfolio construction and day-to-day management of investments and transactions.
  • Creation and presentation of written materials focused on investment and financial issues.
  • Team collaboration on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of items such as portfolios, investments, and capital markets.
  • Synthesis of information provided by, and coordinating the efforts of, third-party providers including external consultants, tax, and legal.
  • Working across the firm on complex projects.

Qualifications required for your success

  • Ten or more years of relevant experience and appropriate investment and capital markets knowledge.
  • Knowledge of a range of asset classes, portfolio types, tax requirements, and investment strategies.
  • Demonstrated project management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Superior relationship and client management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • An ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Understanding of multi-asset trade cycles and corresponding operational processes including marketable securities, private equity, and private investments.
  • Ability to multi-task and lead several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills identifying and resolving complex issues in an effective and time sensitive manner.
  • Manage highly confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Family office experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree or applicable certification preferred (M.S., Ph.D., MBA, JD, CFA).
