Job Description
Primary Purpose
This position is responsible for delivering analytic and presentation work products to enable SI's Structured Finance team to achieve funding priorities. This highly visible role takes ownership of creating quantitative analyses, board-quality presentations, coordinating workstreams, and advancing other strategic projects. This individual will utilize interpersonal and project management skills, research, communication, and finance skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads transaction execution and governance, coordinating data rooms, diligence materials, and third-party information requests; consolidates internal review comments, escalates key issues, and represents Structured Finance in governance and risk management forums.
- Aligns crossfunctional teams, engaging subject matter experts across finance, legal, tax, accounting, treasury, and investor relations to support financing activities, ensure consistency of deliverables, and meet transaction and investment approval milestones.
- Develops executiveready materials and communications, producing clear presentations and approval packages that integrate company strategy, project status, and business line considerations; presents complex financial analysis to diverse stakeholders and translates technical findings into clear business implications.
- Oversees investor and stakeholder reporting, guiding preparation of periodic operating and performance reports for minority investors and key stakeholders and coordinating inputs across internal functions to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Provides team leadership and capability development, offering oversight, guidance, and training to financial analysts on modeling standards, analytical tools, and review practices to maintain quality and consistency.
- Supports limited operational and vendor activities, as needed, including procurement setup, cost tracking, and invoice processing in coordination with accounting and controlling functions.

Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in accounting, finance, economics, engineering or related business or technical field.
Experience
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Documentation and Legal Alignment - Interprets and reconciles term sheets, offering memoranda, and loan agreements with modeled outcomes to ensure provisions, triggers, and reporting align with analytical intent.
- Rating Agency Engagement - Prepares methodaligned analytical packages, presents rationales in committee style settings, and responds to criteria-based questions to support targeted ratings and surveillance expectations.
- Market Intelligence and Benchmarking - Synthesizes sector research and peer issuance data to benchmark structure, pricing, and investor sentiment, and times borrowing to prevailing market conditions.
- Cross-Functional Deal Coordination - Orchestrates workflows among internal analysis teams, counsel, arrangers, lenders, and trustees to maintain version control, diligence completeness, and ontime closings.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication - Crafts clear narratives and presentations that explain structure, collateral behavior, risks, and mitigants to borrowers, investors, and internal committees.
- Foundational Lending and Underwriting Practices - Analyzes borrower financials, documents files accurately, and ensures adherence to lending procedures that underpin structured borrowing transactions.
- Advanced financial and analytical expertise, including building complex financial models from scratch (debt, full three-statement models, pro forma projections, and valuations). Demonstrated mastery of Excel for financial modeling and analysis, with strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word to support investment, financing, and strategic decision-making.
- Deep knowledge of financing and investment processes across the transaction lifecycle, including preparation and review of virtual data rooms, offering memoranda, and investment or credit memos. Strong ability to review, interpret, and provide substantive feedback on energy- and finance-related legal and commercial documentation, such as loan agreements, limited partnership agreements, equity contribution agreements, and commodity sale and purchase agreements (e.g., power, LNG).
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex financial, legal, and commercial information into clear, accurate, and succinct materials tailored for diverse audiences. Produces high-quality written work requiring minimal revision and confidently presents to external investors, lenders, and executive leadership, including speaking extemporaneously on familiar technical and strategic topics.
- Highly skilled self-starter with sound judgment who independently manages multiple, competing priorities and proactively seeks resources or guidance as needed. Demonstrates strong collaboration and relationship-management skills across cross-functional teams, navigates varied personalities, manages up effectively, and maintains focus on timelines and deliverables. Brings familiarity with the energy industry, key economic and macro trends, and their implications for firm strategy and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or other advanced degree.
- MBA/MA, CFA, CPA and other professional certifications.
Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 4 days per week onsite.

$115,500.00 - $182,500.00 / year
