RN - Hospice Full Time Days

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
* Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
Licensure:
* Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice.
* Must be a licensed driver.
Certification(s):
* CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Experience:
* Recent hospice or long-term care experience
* Experience with issues related to death/dying and bereavement.
* One-year general nursing experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
* Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
* Understands Hospice philosophy; principles related to death and dying and pain management.
* Has excellent observation, good nursing assessment and communication skills.
* Excellent computer skills with the ability to provide good documentation within an electronic medical record and submits in a timely manner.
* Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
* Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation and has ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements:
* Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
* Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
* Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
