Application Window Open date: April 21, 2026 Next review date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Oct 21, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Junior Specialist - Hernandez lab Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will participate in research projects focused on understanding the effects of the microbiome on musculoskeletal tissues. Responsibilities include conducting studies in mouse models, performing experimental procedures, processing tissues for histopathology, culturing microbial populations, and analyzing 'omics data. The incumbent will assist with preparation and analysis of biological specimens, maintain laboratory supplies and equipment, and support general laboratory operations. Additional responsibilities include managing mouse colony activities (including breeding and genotyping), maintaining accurate experimental records and databases, and contributing to reports and manuscript preparation.
