Events Audio Technician About the role Bethel University is seeking an Events Audio Technician to be the creative force behind the sound of our campus. From the spiritual energy of weekly Chapel and Vespers to the technical precision of Music and Drama productions, you will be the primary audio technical campus partner ensuring our mission is heard. This isn't just a "behind-the-scenes" job; it's a role where you'll manage AVL networks, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor a dedicated team of student technicians. The Role at a Glance:
Who You Are: You're a tech-savvy problem solver with a heart for ministry. Whether you're configuring an audio network or mixing a live musical, you bring a "can-do" spirit to a Christ-centered community that values your craft. This is an on-campus, in-person role. The starting wage is $19.90/hour. Applicants must have flexibility to work days, evenings, and some weekends, based on the scheduled event. What you'll do Primary responsibilities 1. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Expected Hours of Work: Schedule fluctuates based on the event need - days, evenings, and some weekends, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. This is a 40+ hour per week, 12 months per year position.
