Your Impact As a Child Life Specialist, you'll be a beacon of comfort and support for children navigating medical experiences. Position Details: Job Duties: * Prepare and educate children for procedures through therapeutic play and emotional support * Plan and lead activities that normalize the hospital environment * Advocate for families and promote patient-centered care * Coordinate special events and collaborate with volunteers Supervise students and volunteers, sharing your expertise and passion ????What You Bring Bachelor's degree in a Child Life-related field Completion of a Child Life internship Eligibility for certification through the Association of Child Life Professionals BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong foundation in child development and medical terminology Preferred: 2+ years of experience in child education or healthcare Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) (or ability to earn within 1 year) ????Why Mercy?
