Job Title: Director of Retail Production - Apparel & Merchandise

Location: New York, NY (Onsite)

Duration: 5-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour (non-negotiable)


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Coordinator with experience in apparel and accessories to support merchandise development for artist-driven e-commerce and touring initiatives. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely execution, cost efficiency, and product quality across multiple apparel categories.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of merchandise programs for artist e-commerce platforms and tour-related campaigns
  • Coordinate timelines and track deliverables across internal teams and external partners
  • Assist in cost negotiation and product engineering to meet target margins
  • Help manage pre-production processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and product specifications
  • Maintain strong communication with vendors and suppliers to support product development and integrity
  • Monitor progress and proactively flag risks or delays in production schedules

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in apparel and accessories production or product development
  • Experience across multiple apparel categories, including men's, juniors, and children's wear
  • Strong understanding of cost negotiation, sourcing, and product engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Textile Science, Fashion Design, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience with music merchandise production is a plus
