Communications Specialist

We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll advance your skills to design, develop, produce, and advise on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports the DoW space.

As a communications specialist on our team, you'll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients. You will collaborate with the team to produce a wide range of enterprise-wide outreach materials. You will also help maintain our visual standards by supporting the development of graphics, brochures, and video scripts.

As a key contributor to our communications team, you will assist with the creation of various verbal and written products, including fact sheets, briefs, talking points, and newsletters, as well as digital content like social media posts and video scripts. Using your creative-thinking and design-oriented mindset, you will help inform audiences through a mix of words and visuals. You'll utilize tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365, to ensure all products are professional, user-friendly, and visually engaging.

You Have:

• 1+ years of experience drafting and coordinating strategic communication materials that align with broader organizational strategies and outreach efforts
• 1+ years of experience in user-centered design with user research, usability testing, and iterative design, including creating digital experiences through data-backed design decisions
• Experience creating briefs, drafting correspondence, and editing reports and graphics
• Ability to work without direct supervision, be highly motivated and proactive, and display a dynamic work ethic
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

• Experience with DoW programs
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and synthesize complex datasets and technical architectures into clear, actionable design solutions
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
• Secret clearance
