Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is a leading anti-poverty organization serving neighbors in need across New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester. Through 70+ programs, we support over 35,000 adults and children each year, including individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, youth aging out of foster care, veterans, seniors, and children with developmental delays.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Position: Associate Director of Operations



The Associate Director of Operations, under the supervision of the Director of Program Services, is responsible for the management of operation functions to include food service, housekeeping, repairs and improvements, transportation and linen and supply.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • The position requires a Bachelor's Degree and five years of relevant experience including two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills, word processing and spreadsheet computer skills required.



Candidates with related experience with domestic violence preferred.



Associate Director of Operations Principal Responsibilities:



  1. Manage assigned departments for quality operational services.
  2. Ensure facility complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate with funder on assigned projects.
  3. Manage department staff.
  4. Manage department budget and purchasing activities.
