| Essential Job Duties |
Join a collaborative research team supporting the SE Dairy Business Innovation Initiative, where you will play a central role in advancing research and Extension efforts. This position partners closely with the Principal Investigator (Ward) and co-Principal Investigators (Whitmire, Hollifield) to manage projects, support animal-related research activities, and contribute to data analysis, reporting, and publications.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project coordination while engaging with research teams, students, and stakeholders to help drive successful outcomes across a dynamic portfolio of initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and project management for the SE Dairy Business Innovation Initiative.
- Oversee project timelines and coordinate details to support the execution of research and Extension activities.
- Facilitate meetings and engagement with co-Principal Investigators, project personnel, and students.
- Develop quarterly and other required reports for the funding agency.
- Assist with grant award audits, educational program development, conference planning, and research data collection, as needed.
This position is well-suited for someone who brings strong organizational and communication skills, enjoys coordinating complex projects, and works effectively with multiple collaborators to support research and Extension goals. |

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience with handling livestock and large animal research projects, including data collection and management (with working knowledge of Excel and data analysis software).
- Comfortable and experienced with dairy farms, working outdoors and interacting with producers.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 20%, mostly day travel with some overnight travel.
