Mailroom & Delivery Dock Worker - JLL

What this job involves:

At JLL, we're looking for a dedicated Mailroom & Delivery Dock Worker to join our team and help shape a brighter way for our clients and fellow employees. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our daily operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. You'll perform routine material handling duties, manage mailroom operations, and process shipments while maintaining strict compliance with all applicable regulations, SOPs, and work instructions. Working in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision, you'll interact with various departments and external partners, contributing to the seamless flow of information and materials throughout our organization. This position requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively while supporting departmental and company goals.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and accountable mail to appropriate departments or individuals using tracking systems for certified and registered items
  • Process outgoing mail including weighing, metering, preparing items for shipment, printing shipping labels and postage, and coordinating with courier services for special deliveries and pickups
  • Operate and maintain mailroom equipment such as postage meters, package scanners, and bean-to-cup coffee machines, including cleaning and restocking coffee supplies
  • Handle pallets and packages, inspect goods received for damage, and distribute products to other departments throughout the facility
  • Manage inventory of mailroom and coffee supplies, maintain accurate records of all mail and package transactions, and reorder materials as necessary
  • Complete weekly paper deliveries to copy rooms and mailrooms, processing all deliveries through tracking systems with hand delivery to customers
  • Respond to customer phone calls and inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies, postal regulations, and federal, state, and local requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with completion of appropriate training based on vehicles utilized
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds, with capability to lift, bend, and move to perform job tasks safely
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, tracking systems)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time while performing material handling duties
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a mailroom or shipping/receiving environment
  • Familiarity with postal regulations and shipping procedures
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices
  • Experience with package tracking software and processing certified/accountable mail
  • Customer service experience

Location: Onsite

Working Conditions:

This position may require the employee to work with chemical and biological agents that may be hazardous to health if mishandled (including agents which may potentially affect reproductive health and/or development of the fetus). Employees will be required to follow all safety procedures and use personal protective clothing/equipment as provided by the company where specified. Environmental conditions will vary based on the job being performed and could include working outside in winter and summer conditions.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

33,155.00 - 33,155.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
