The Opportunity

One of JLL's three global business lines, Real Estate Management Services (REMS) partners with leading organizations across industry sectors, creating environments that achieve a more humancentric, resilient and responsible approach to shaping a better world of work. We provide integrated services, including Workplace Management, Project Management, Property Management and Portfolio Services. Through technology enabled solutions, REMS creates and manages safe and inspiring spaces around the world for people to collaborate, innovate and drive meaningful change anywhere that work is performed.

We are currently seeking a Manager, Communications to lead the planning and execution of employee and executive communications for REMS Technology. This role manages engaging, informative and inspiring employee communications that reinforce our global strategy, support employee engagement and retention, and enable successful change management and transformation by successfully intertwining and embedding and promoting our technology narrative in REMS audience channels.

The successful candidate will understand our REMS business and culture, and influence leaders by integrating key pieces of the REMS Technology strategy in new and existing channels. When appropriate, this individual will partner on external communications and social media to strengthen our technology market presence and support marketing campaign efforts. The candidate will understand key messages and business challenges, translating them into clear and crisp messaging points, and will adeptly guide and support the REMS Technology leadership team through communications initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with communications colleagues, supporting the wider REMS business and JLL-wide technology communications initiatives with a primary focus of promoting our technology offerings across the firm. The individual will remain aligned with external marketing initiatives and champion JLL's brand, purpose, culture and values, positioning JLL as an employer of choice and the premier global corporate real estate services provider.

This role will report to the Head of Communications, Real Estate Management Services.

Essential responsibilities

* Develop and execute successful employee and executive communication strategies and programs that align to business mission and goals, with clear measurement and objectives

* Understand and clearly articulate our technology goals and objectives in relation to the business' mission, values and strategic direction in all communications

  • Develop robust communication plans that include digital, on-demand and multi-channel execution; introduce andimplementnew ideas and best practicesto ensurechannels and contentstay relevant andapproachable

  • Possess the ability to influence stakeholders and decision-makers and earn their support

  • Support the technology leaders in developing internal and external messaging to launch new products and existing product enhancements

* Work closely with executives to prepare speeches, scripts and presentations for main stage speaking engagements, including internal and external events

* Monitor social media for topics relevant to each executive's area of expertise

* Develop thoughtleadership blog posts and contribute articles on behalf of executives on channels like LinkedIn

* Partner with Public Relations/external communications on executive messaging and key story placements

* Manage the organization's major intranet, collaboration sites and internal communities

  • Support the technology leaders in developing internal and external messaging to launch new products and existing product enhancements

* Collaborate with global colleagues and counterparts to ensure aligned and consistent messaging drives desired results across geographies and partnering business lines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in communications with a track record of successfully delivering communications strategies and campaigns.

  • University Degree (English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred)

  • Background working in a global, matrixed organization, with preference to technology companies

  • Experience managing multiple communications channels and reaching global audiences.

  • A curious and creative thinker with demonstrated success in translating broad concepts and ideas into clear, multi-channel communications.

  • Excellent written, digital and verbal communication skills; ability to bring disparate audiences together around an inspiring story and compelling messages.

  • Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate a fast-paced global organization and promote priorities of multiple senior leaders concurrently.

  • Collaborative individual who works well in a team environment.

  • Understanding of, and commitment to, client service and our strong focus on technology

  • Previous experience in technology related industries preferred

Preferred location: Chicago, IL

Estimated compensation for this position:

90,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
