This position performs various duties necessary in the preparation or service of food, and provides quality customer service to students, faculty, staff and guests.

This position requires availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greets and welcomes customers while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Take orders, including offering menu recommendations and noting dietary restrictions or special requests.
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and food items according to the standardized recipes or as customized for customers.
  • Maintains food safety standards.
  • Receive and process payments accurately using the point of sale systems.
  • Assists with opening and closing duties, ensuring all stations, equipment, and storage areas are properly secured and stocked.
  • Restock supplies such as cups, lids, coffee beans, syrups and food items.
  • Maintain workstations, including keeping them clean and stocked.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing equipment, wiping counters, and following food safety standards.
  • Monitors and records appropriate temperatures for storage and equipment to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Ensures all food prep equipment, stations and storage areas are cleaned and maintained.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of sanitation and quality food service standards.
  • Knowledge of weights and measures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Physical Requirement:

  • Ability to occasionally transport/move a maximum of 50 pounds.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
