Purpose of the Role The CAD Technician plays a key role in supporting Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change by ensuring the effective coordination, quality, and integrity of design data across projects. This role contributes to the delivery of integrated, data-centric solutions by applying established engineering and design practices to support project teams throughout the asset lifecycle, from early-stage engineering through installation, commissioning, and eventual decommissioning. Working within a collaborative environment, the CAD Coordinator supports multidisciplinary teams by managing design outputs, maintaining consistency with project standards, and enabling efficient execution aligned with Worley's ambition to lead in sustainability solutions. The position bridges technical execution and digital design coordination, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client and organizational expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage CAD deliverables to ensure alignment with Worley standards, client requirements, and project objectives
- Support engineers, designers, and project teams in the preparation and execution of design documentation using approved tools and methodologies
- Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established engineering and design practices
- Maintain and organize design data, ensuring consistency, traceability, and accessibility across project phases
- Apply standard engineering and design techniques to solve problems of limited scope and complexity, escalating issues as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of data-centric solutions across engineering, construction, and commissioning activities
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to CAD systems, workflows, and digital tools
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements in all design and coordination activities
- Provide guidance and support to team members on CAD standards, procedures, and best practices
- Contribute to the successful delivery of projects that support energy transition and sustainable infrastructure outcomes
Qualifications / Skillset
- University degree in engineering, design, or a related discipline, or equivalent trade qualification combined with relevant training and experience
- Demonstrated experience in CAD coordination within energy, chemicals, resources, or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and design software, with the ability to apply tools effectively to support data-centric project delivery
- Strong understanding of engineering and design processes across project lifecycles, including installation, commissioning, and remediation phases
- Ability to apply established methods, techniques, and standards to deliver accurate and high-quality design outputs
- Experience working within structured practices and procedures, with the ability to plan and execute tasks using sound judgment
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in calculations, data completeness, and adherence to technical requirements
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary and global teams
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement aligned with Worley's purpose and ambition
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to project delivery in a dynamic and evolving environment
