Hourly Position (Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm & ovt as needed) - $21.00

Description:

The Expeditor communicates with upstream/downstream channels and departments across the plant to expedite doors shipping needs to complete loads.Assist in stack consolidations by PO, customer, and customer locations. Stacks/downs tacks pallets of doors to customer shipping quantity specs, verify doors and jetta mark/species on the doors match the tickets, assists to direct lift drivers on where to stage pallets of doors, combine/build/pyramid door stacks for each customer using SOP procedures - (use culled doors/cardboard/runners between pallets to protect doors). Send doors to repair that fail to meet quality specs. Assist in directing Lift drivers to restock pallets, cardboard, culled doors, and slats as necessary.

Knowledge:

Door staging locations and process for stackconsolidation, Customerspecs, proper stacking procedures, how to protect doors, quality specs, read/interpret tickets/schedules, door types/cores/species and acceptable stacking quantities, how to read a tape measure up to 1/16", correct pallet size with doors, customer specific stacking/packing requirements.

Skill:

Good planning and organizational skills, ability tocomprehendand retainlarge amountsof data, high attention details, read/interpret schedules, read tape measure 1/16" and work withsenseof urgency.

Good communicationskills in directing drivers and team members. Must also communicate with upstream and downstream departments.

Responsibility:

Assist in finding missing tickets/stacks to complete loads on time.

Communicate with upstream/downstream channels and departments fordoorsshipping needs to complete loads and meet on time & complete (OTC) targets.

Physical Responsibility:

Manually lifts/slide/flip materials or doors, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, stacking doors, and standing for extended periods.

Mental Responsibility:

Fast paced job, constant need to recall where doors are staged for future consolidation. Separate doors by customer and load, andlocatewith like items within a pallet

Working Conditions:

Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions.Heavy forklift traffic in smallarea,some dust, andnoisyenvironment.
