Position Overview The Medical Office Specialist plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by ensuring administrative and clinical support functions run smoothly and efficiently. You'll serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and staff-helping the practice operate at its best. Two openings available: * One role starting in the Back Office / Phone Room (highvolume calls, scheduling) * One role starting in the Front Office (patient checkin, chart prep, insurance verification) Both roles will be crosstrained to support each area as needed. What You'll Do Depending on assignment, your responsibilities may include: * Greet and support patients with checkin, checkout, and appointment scheduling * Answer and manage highvolume phone calls with professionalism and empathy * Verify insurance eligibility and assist with prior authorizations and referrals * Collect and record copays; balance daily transactions in the system * Maintain, retrieve, and update patient charts and medical records * Obtain and enter CPT and ICD10 codes and other clinical documentation * Schedule surgical procedures and maintain accurate surgery calendars * Coordinate chart requests and communicate physician or equipment needs to the care team * Contribute to the organization's mission, vision, and values through teamwork and patientfocused care What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: * Minimum 6 months of recent healthcare industry experience * Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) * eClinicalWorks strongly preferred * Knowledge of medical terminology * Experience with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, or prior authorizations Ideal Candidate Traits: * Strong multitasking and organizational skills * High attention to detail * Comfortable in a fastpaced, highvolume environment * Selfstarter who works well independently and as part of a team * Patientforward mindset with excellent communication skills Pay & Schedule * Pay: Competitive and based on experience (weekly pay) * 18.00-21.00 * Schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours * No weekends Benefits & Total Rewards This position offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including: Why You'll Love This Role You'll be joining a collaborative, patientcentered team that truly supports one another.
