Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Possess the specialized knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide care for people with physical disabilities and chronic illness. Collects, reports, analyzes and provides data on an ongoing basis and as required by other health care team in accordance to organization standards Coordinates nursing care activities in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to facilitate achievement of overall goals. Performs other position-related duties as assigned such as audits, IRF assessments, transportation of patients, pick up or cleaning Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills to develop a rapport with clients, their families, and health team members Ensure all equipment are in good working condition and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies. Manage emergency equipment and emergency responses Manage staffing to ensure adequate skill mix for safe patient care. Coordinate break schedules for all staff in the shift. Applies nursing research to clinical practice and participates in nursing practice committees to meet unit specific goals in a rehab setting The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $93.47 - $ 121.11 (Hourly Rate). Current healthcare provider CPR certification ACLS for Adult Critical Care This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. 2-3-years RN experience in Acute Care Hospital Setting Experience with holistic approach to meeting patients medical, vocational, educational, and environmental needs. Preferred: BSN or CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) Charge nurse experience Experience in Acute Rehabilitation Care strongly preferred, but combination of education, other experience and specialty training may be considered Demonstrate competency in ARU nursing.
