About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer for Systems Software to join us

Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Senior Software Developer for Systems Software designs, develops, and delivers enterprise-grade software solutions supporting TSA's mission-critical applications and IT infrastructure, including systems automation, integration middleware, APIs, and platform-level software components.
  • This individual works within Agile and DevSecOps delivery frameworks to develop secure, scalable, and maintainable code that adheres to DHS and TSA software development standards and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • The Senior Software Developer collaborates closely with systems engineers, cloud architects, and the O&M contractor to ensure that software deliverables are transition-ready and fully documented for sustainment.
  • Key responsibilities include requirements analysis, software design, coding, unit and integration testing, code review, and the development of technical documentation including API specifications, developer guides, and runbooks.
  • The Senior Software Developer also supports software migrations and modernization efforts-such as the transition of legacy systems to cloud-native platforms-and contributes to the capability development and testing activities defined in TALON task orders.
  • The individual participates in 14-day operational testing periods post-transition and is available to support post-deployment troubleshooting in coordination with the O&M contractor.


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years of software development experience is required, with proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript), API development, and DevSecOps toolchains including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and source control.
  • Experience developing software in FISMA-governed federal environments and familiarity with DHS software security standards are preferred.
  • All personnel must be U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents capable of obtaining TSA fitness determination and must be available to support after-hours deployments consistent with TSA's change management schedule.

Background Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
