About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join us

Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect designs, engineers, and implements cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions for TSA, encompassing compute, storage, networking, identity management, and platform services across AWS and Azure environments.
  • This individual translates enterprise architecture guidance and TSA mission requirements into detailed infrastructure designs that are secure, resilient, and operationally optimized, and produces comprehensive implementation documentation that enables the O&M contractor to sustain cloud environments following transition.
  • The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect works within the TALON engineering team to execute cloud migration, modernization, and optimization projects across TSA's IT portfolio.
  • Responsibilities include designing cloud landing zones, network architectures, and identity and access management configurations aligned with DHS Zero Trust principles; supporting the integration of cloud platforms with TSA's on-premises systems and third-party services; and performing infrastructure-as-code development using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect leads pre-production validation of cloud environments, supports 14-day operational testing periods post-transition, and contributes to cloud cost optimization and rightsizing assessments.
  • The individual also provides technical input to lifecycle replacement strategies for infrastructure components being migrated or decommissioned.


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years of cloud infrastructure experience is required, with hands-on expertise in AWS and/or Azure infrastructure services, cloud networking, IAM, and DevOps tooling. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with FedRAMP-authorized cloud environments and federal infrastructure engineering standards is valued.
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents capable of obtaining TSA fitness determination, and must be available to support after-hours deployment activities in TSA's 24x7x365 operational environment.

Background Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
