Start Date: 4/20/26 Please Note: This is a 3-month contracted assignment, it could go for longer if necessary. With an emphasis on operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the organization supports patients and providers through modern revenue cycle practices-all within a fully remote, teamoriented work environment. *Position Overview* The *Patient Financial Services Representative* plays a critical role in supporting patients throughout their financial journey. This role combines healthcare billing expertise, patient advocacy, and customer service to help patients understand insurance coverage, payment options, and available financial assistance-while ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and regulatory compliance. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced revenue cycle professionals who are passionate about patient experience and thrive in a remote, fastpaced healthcare environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding billing inquiries, insurance coverage, payment options, and financial responsibility * Research and resolve complex billing issues by reviewing account histories and collaborating with internal teams * Process patient payments and document all interactions accurately in the EMR system * Proactively contact patients regarding outstanding balances and negotiate appropriate payment arrangements * Monitor selfpay accounts and follow up on delinquent balances * Identify and resolve billing discrepancies that impact patient balances or payment delays * Conduct financial assessments and administer internal financial assistance or charity care programs * Screen patients for eligibility in government programs (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare) and assist with applications * Calculate and communicate patient financial responsibility estimates prior to services * Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to remove financial barriers to care * Stay current on healthcare billing regulations and payer guidelines * Contribute to performance goals related to collections, patient satisfaction, and account resolution * Participate in process improvement initiatives and remain crosstrained for revenue cycle support coverage * Perform additional duties as assigned *Qualifications* * Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field * 2+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle billing or patient financial services * Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing workflows, and insurance concepts * Working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare programs * Proficiency with healthcare billing systems and Microsoft Office (Excel required) * Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements * Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions professionally and empathetically * High attention to detail with strong organizational and timemanagement skills * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with crossfunctional teams *Work Environment* * *100% Remote* * Must have a *quiet, private workspace* to maintain HIPAA compliance *Compensation* * *Pay Rate:* $22.00 - $26.00 per hour * *Overtime:* Paid at 1.5x * *Contract Length:* 3 months *Benefits (Eligibility Requirements Apply)* * Medical, dental, and vision coverage * 401(k) retirement plan (pretax and Roth options) * Life insurance and AD&D * Short and longterm disability * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Paid time off and leave options *Why This Opportunity* * Fully remote work with schedule flexibility * Supportive, collaborative team culture * Meaningful, patientfocused work * Opportunity to apply advanced revenue cycle expertise * Competitive hourly pay and benefits *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
