As a Senior Talent Development Specialist, you will facilitate training for agents and their staff through virtual and in-person experiences, using adult-learning best practices to drive engagement, skill adoption, and performance.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Talent Development.

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and hybrid learning experiences for agents and their staff.

  • Prepare for each session by reviewing learner needs, tailoring activities, and ensuring materials, technology, and logistics are ready for smooth delivery.

  • Create a psychologically safe, inclusive learning environment; manage group dynamics; and adapt delivery in real time based on participant feedback and performance.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand performance needs and translate them into learning objectives, session content, and reinforcement strategies.

  • Evaluate learning effectiveness using participant feedback and outcomes data; summarize insights and recommend improvements to content, facilitation approach, and follow-up support.

  • Coach participants to support skill application on the job.

  • Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of learning programs, including updating facilitator guides, participant materials, and experiential activities.

  • Serve as a senior member of the learning team by mentoring other facilitators, modeling facilitation excellence, and helping standardize facilitation practices.

  • Maintain expertise in learning trends, facilitation methods, and relevant business/functional knowledge; incorporate new techniques and tools as appropriate.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing online, instructor-led, or blended learning programs related to leadership or management development.

  • Demonstrated verbal, written, and social media communication skills that support culture and strategy.

  • Demonstrated experience with content design and development tools and languages.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of project management.

  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design models and assessment methods.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing, building, editing, and assessing curricula for different learning environments (asynchronous and synchronous).

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of insurance and insurance products.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating adult learning.

In this hybrid role you will be expected to work 10 days per month out of one of the following offices: Madison, WI, Boston, MA, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, St. Joseph, MO, Hopkins, MN.
