We have an exciting opening for a Machinist on 3rd shift.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Follow production instructions, operating machines safely, and adjusting settings.

  • Comply with health and safety regulations and wearing proper protective gear.

  • Perform minor machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.

  • Maintain and monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing maintenance.

  • Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
  • Maintain standard production rates, low waste and meet all stated customer requirements.
  • Identify and replace broken tooling as needed.

  • Positively and actively contribute to High Performance Teams (HPTs) by participating in Team Improvement Boards (TIB) reviews, problem solving and task completion.

  • Positively support change initiatives by actively contributing to and participating in lean principles and Kaizen events.

  • Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning machines, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and peripheral equipment, as required to maintain parts and equipment within specified limits.

  • Assist all other employees in the department as needed.

  • Keep work area neat, clean and organized using the 5S+Safety approach.

  • Submit waste reductions/cost avoidances.

  • Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate.

We are looking for talent with the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of machining related to equipment, methods, tooling, gauging, etc., which are typically learned through at least 1 year of machining experience.

  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional working relationship with all team members and supervision.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing roles and changing priorities.

  • Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files.

  • Knowledge of machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

You must be able to:

  • Frequently will stand.

  • Regularly will lift up to 50 pounds, walk, twist, grasp, reach, and handle.
