Job Description:

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of facility systems that support semiconductor manufacturing. This role also provides critical support for factory operations, including tool installation, utility coordination, and fab readiness. The engineer ensures the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of critical infrastructure such as HVAC, ultrapure water, wastewater, chemical delivery, exhaust systems, CDA, vacuum systems, and bulk/ specialty gases.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Engineering

  • Apply advanced knowledge of HVAC, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical system design to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize systems including chilled water, exhaust, wastewater, CDA (Clean Dry Air), vacuum, bulk gas, chemical distribution, and HVAC.

  • Lead capital and sustaining projects involving facilities infrastructure upgrades, capacity expansions, and utility readiness for new tools.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures or performance deviations.

  • Develop, update, and maintain engineering documentation including P&IDs, specifications, SOPs, equipment documentation, and system performance reports.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, and semiconductor-specific standards.

  • Support energy efficiency, reliability improvement, and sustainability initiatives related to facility systems.

Factory Tool Install Support

  • Own factory tool installations including utility planning, layout, site drawings, and field verification.

  • Review tool documentation and verify facility capacity and compatibility.

  • Support tool moves, retrofits, and deinstalls, ensuring safe and efficient factory configuration changes.

  • Own the site layout change control board and process, maintain site and factory layout drawings, and manage long-term facility and equipment layouts in partnership with the site leader.

  • Partner with Tool Owners and Production to ensure smooth tool startup, qualification, integration, and ownership of final utility connections to the tool.

Pay Range:

$94,100.00 - $123,480.00

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Beaverton, Oregon pays between $94,100.00 and $123,480.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You'll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
