Pay Rate:$38.00+ per hour (Dependent on experience)

This role provides handson experience, mentorship, and structured training to prepare you to oversee maintenance teams, ensure equipment reliability, and support safe, efficient operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problemsolver with strong mechanical aptitude, leadership potential, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and inspections,safetychecks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake andair systemson diesel vehicles.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily maintenance activities.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime.
  • Ensure proper documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to learn supervisory responsibilities.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and supporting technicians and shop personnel
  • Help promote a positive, safetyfocused culture within the maintenance team.
  • Participate in staffing, scheduling, and performance feedback processes.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities follow company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Support implementation of safety programs, policies, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant shop environment.
  • Learn to manage maintenance budgets and control expenses.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to understand equipment needs and priorities.
  • Support rollout of new equipment, technology, and maintenance processes.
