Responsibilities

NV5 is seeking a Civil / Site Engineer - Project Manager to support the growth of our Philadelphia practice. This role offers the opportunity to lead civil/site engineering projects in the public and private realm while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The position will initially focus on managing and delivering civil engineering design for park, trail, higher-education, and community redevelopment projects, working closely with landscape architects, planners, and fellow engineers. Over time, this role is expected to take on broader leadership responsibility, helping to expand NV5's site-civil capabilities in the Philadelphia region with an emphasis on sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

    Manage civil/site engineering projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction
  • Develop site layouts, grading and drainage plans, utility designs, and stormwater management systems
  • Coordinate closely with internal disciplines and external stakeholders
  • Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and quality control
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and agencies
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development
  • Assist with proposals and business development efforts as needed


Qualifications

  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar)
  • Approximately 8+ years of civil/site engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading projects or technical teams
  • Strong background in site design, stormwater management, permitting, and construction documentation
  • Experience in the planning and design of urban stormwater management systems within public rights-of-ways as well as private development sites
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary setting
