Job Summary
The Montefiore Health System Conflict of Interest Manager will play a key role in the management of provider, employee and institutional potential conflicts of interest across Montefiore Health System. The Conflict of Interest Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on Conflict of Interest for the Health System, will be responsible for establishing a consistent process for the disclosure, review and management of conflicts of interest, and will develop and manage a corporate reporting system for aggregating, analyzing and benchmarking conflicts data across Montefiore Health System.
Essential Functions
- The COI Manager will work with Health System Compliance and member hospital Compliance and leadership staff to synchronize processes for the disclosure, review and management of potential conflicts of interest across the health system
- The COI Manager will be responsible for the review, or for ensuring that review occurs, of any potential conflicts of interest reported by non-executive staff and credentialed providers who do not serve in leadership roles such as department chairs, vice-chairs, program directors and the like.
- The COI Manager will be responsible for developing and documenting management plans for any potential conflicts of interest reported by non-executive staff and credentialed providers who do not serve in leadership roles such as department chairs, vice-chairs, program directors and the like.
- The COI Manager will be responsible for aggregating, analyzing, benchmarking and developing a corporate reporting system for Montefiore Health System conflicts data
- The COI Manager will be responsible for maintaining the Conflict of Interest policy for Montefiore Health System
- The COI Manager will be responsible for developing training content related to conflicts of interest for NAO, annual and ad hoc compliance trainings.
- The COI Manager will assist the Senior Director with the management of other key Corporate Compliance functions including the Montefiore Compliance Hotline and exclusion screening
- The COI Manager will assist the Senior Director with risk assessment, work plan development and other elements of Compliance Program strategic planning
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, healthcare operations, health information management, clinical care, research or related field required
- Excellent computer skills required
- General knowledge of other healthcare rules and regulations preferred
- Candidate must currently possess or obtain a CHC or similar within 6 months of hire
