Here's what you'd do: The Manufacturing Technician assembles, aligns, and tests systems, components, and subassemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure the finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirements. Perform basic computer activities with the programs provided Identify, utilize, and perform preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment. Demonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics. Report deviations from standard to the appropriate resource for review, instruction, and authorization, and obtain quality inspection when appropriate. Support Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety procedures Perform job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures Will work with a microscope. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years of experience working with electronic, optical, or mechanical assemblies Preferred Skills / Qualifications: LabVIEW program experience Computer literate. Demonstrated proficiency at operating 25%-50% of work stations as documented by training records Working knowledge of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies Apply considerable English language skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Apply considerable math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to navigate a computer's different software. Cultivate a culture that assures effective cross-functional teamwork Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values. Be technically inclined and have good attention to detail.
