Are you ready for everyday hugs and smiles and stories that sometimes never end?! Do you want to work with children and experience the wonder that they see? To help children explore their world and watch them learn new things each day?

Shepherd's Care is a Christian Childcare Center located in Maple Grove, this position requires you to prep and teach lessons as well as provide a warm and nurturing environment for children to meet their physical, mental, spiritual, social and emotional needs. Responsible for performing duties in accordance with policies and procedures. Must be pleasant, respectful, and courteous to all children, families, visitors and fellow employees at all times.

Qualifications:
Education:
*
A High School diploma or equivalent
* BA degree in any field (with college credits that meet licensing requirements for Education or Education related content) OR
* CDA credential OR
* AA in Early Childhood Education

Experience:
* Early Childhood Infant to Pre-K experience (preferred)

License/Certification:
* CPR Certification or willingness to obtain
* First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

Requirements:
Loves working and playing with children
Develop positive relationships with children and families
Ability to anticipate and diffuse problems and disruptive situations
Implements daily lesson plans and classroom activities
Helps with necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds
Works effectively in a team
Ability to adapt to frequent changes in activity, priorities, and/or work schedules
Supervises a classroom of children and gives direction to the aide as needed
Ability to exercise patience at all times
Ability to communicate sensitive information

Must be physically able to use a tablet with basic proficiency

Must be able to get up and down off the floor, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in activity with children
Be able to communicate with children and their parents in English
Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
