We are seeking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Financial Reporting team at our Austin, TX HQ location. Reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting & M&A Accounting, as the Financial Reporting Manager you are at the center of Hanger's financial story - and will directly contribute to reporting that reaches the highest levels of the organization. This role will primarily focus on the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for external reporting, including the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, statement of cash flows, statement of stockholder's equity and certain required footnotes and disclosures as well as monthly reporting to our executive team. You will be responsible for preparation of supporting documentation of quarterly and annual reports to our external partners (lenders, equity partners, and external auditors), which requires collaboration across Hangers FP&A, Legal, Treasury and Operations teams. Additional responsibilities include certain aspects for month-end close, reconciliations and journal entries. Contributes to special projects as the needs arise.

This role provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate technical accounting acumen, including staying up to date on the latest accounting pronouncements, M&A accounting, and leading process automation projects within the Workiva platform.



Your Impact

    Prepare consolidated financial statements and quarterly and annual reporting with our lenders and equity partners, including the statement of cash flows, footnotes and other required disclosures.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements for management.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and supporting schedules for management.
  • Preparation of the supporting tie-out documentation for external filings.
  • Assist with information request from external auditors during quarter and year-end review processes.
  • Preparation of supporting documentation in compliance with the Company's accounting policies and SOX documentation requirements.
  • Assess, document, and lead implementing new accounting pronouncements.
  • Monthly reconciliation of key accounts and various financial analyses related to the Company's share-based compensation, equity method investments, and the Company's consolidated equity accounts.
  • Perform various aspects of the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process included, but not limited to share-based compensation, tracking the Company's Profit Interest Plan, and equity method investment accounting.
  • Preparation and filing of U.S. Census forms with the Department of Commerce.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Requires 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with an emphasis on financial reporting experience.
  • Active CPA is required.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, financial statement preparation, disclosure support, technical accounting research, and internal controls.


Additional Success Factors

  • Working knowledge of Workiva.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP - specifically Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools to create efficiencies in the financial reporting process (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
  • Both excellent organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are requirements.
  • Ability to analyze problems and present potential solutions.
  • Ability to work within strict time constraints.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs.
