Electrical & Computer Engineering
Job Description
Provide secretarial and office management support for both Undergraduate and Graduate Studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain graduate student files
- Process graduate admission and funding requests, and answer admission inquiries
- Assign student advisors for graduate students
- Audit and process all forms for graduate students
- Assist with undergraduate advising and form processing as requested
- Update and maintain undergraduate and graduate handbooks
- Answer email and phone calls from prospective graduate students regarding the program
- Coordinate final exams and advancement exams for community colleges
- Register PhD students for qualifying exam every fall and spring, collect problems from faculty for exam, assemble exam for graduate advisor to administer, distribute problems for grading, record graded problems and process results
- Assist with open house events
- Coordinate ABET & GLO accreditation information
- Assist with annual department newsletter
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.50-$20.32 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Missouri provides generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
