The Opportunity

We are seeking an Audio Visual Junior Technical Specialist join our Firm. This position will be based in our NYC office (hybrid). Provides audio visual services and support Firm wide.

  • Set up, operate, and break down audio and video equipment for meetings, training sessions, town halls, and special events which includes displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control room operations.
  • Support virtual and hybrid meetings using platforms such as Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Including meeting room connections, audio/video checks and live troubleshooting during active sessions.
  • Configure and test conference room technology before all scheduled meetings, verifying equipment functionality, network connectivity, and room controls to ensure a seamless meeting experience for both presenters and attendees.
  • Provide on-demand, white-glove support to executives and staff, assisting with presentations, screen sharing, recording and collaboration tools in conference rooms.
  • Monitor live events to ensure audio and video quality, proactively identifying potential issues, and providing immediate support to resolve any problems quickly with minimal disruption.
  • Provides assistance with the technical setup and support of webinars scheduled through the marketing department.
  • Assists with the scheduling of audio visual equipment; delivers and picks up presentation equipment and maintains an active equipment inventory list.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots audio visual equipment; makes minor repairs and arranges for repair and equipment service.
  • Install, update, and perform routine maintenance on conference room AV systems, including firmware/software updates during room health checks.
  • Collaborate with technology support, conference services, and facilities departments as needed.
  • Document AV setups, room standards, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure a shared knowledge base between team members.
  • Provides a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with other.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of audio and video production equipment, techniques and methodologies
  • Knowledge of audio and video teleconferencing equipment
  • Updates and maintains current knowledge for all AV related technologies
  • Ability to exert moderate to high physical effort
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months of experience and/or internship in IT or AV

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Salary Details

$65,000 - $75,000
