| Position Summary |
Serve as an Assistant Coach with the highly competitive, Division I Men's Basketball Program; assist with administration as it relates to recruiting, budgets, traveling, public relations, fundraising, camps, and clinics; organizing and conducting practices and competitions, administering and promoting all phases of the
UGA Men's Basketball Program. Works with the Head Men's Basketball Coach to support the efficient and productive operation of the men's basketball program. Provide support to the Head Men's Basketball Coach in various areas of the program. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Experience as Head or Associate/Assistant basketball coach.
- Knowledge of rules of the game and playing strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computers, especially using Excel.
- The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
- Knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), SEC, UGA, and UGAAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, academic counselors, parents, and coaches.
- Ability to work independently on multiple assignments.
- Ability to organize as well as prepare for events and travel in advance is imperative.

- Ensures that the administrative support, and development and fundraising support activities of the men's basketball program minimize the likelihood of violations of NCAA rules and regulations and that activities supporting the program are in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
