Job Overview:

The Inventory Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role at the center of daily inventory operations. This position oversees inventory control activities, enforces standard work, and ensures strong transactional discipline within Oracle while maintaining compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. The Inventory Supervisor leads by example-balancing oversight with execution-to ensure inventory accuracy, accountability, and consistency across operations.

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise daily inventory control activities across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

  • Coordinate and lead cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory investigations to maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Perform root-cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and drive timely corrective actions.

  • Enforce inventory control procedures, standard work, and Oracle transactional discipline across operations.

  • Apply IR Excellence (IRX) and continuous improvement principles to improve material flow, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Support the development, implementation, and standardization of inventory control processes and work instructions.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Shipping, Finance, and Quality to resolve inventory issues and support operational needs.

  • Monitor and report inventory KPIs, including accuracy, shortages, aging, variances, and cycle count performance.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and EHS standards related to inventory operations.

  • Train, coach, and support inventory team members; reinforce accountability and consistent execution of standard work.

  • Serve as an escalation point for day-to-day inventory issues and support leadership with data and analysis.



Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, materials, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • 3+ years of experience coordinating inventory audits and cycle counts.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, or JDE.

  • Prior experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory capacity.



Core Competencies:


  • Inventory control, material management, and inventory accuracy fundamentals.

  • Supervisory skills with the ability to coach, guide, and hold team members accountable.

  • Process adherence, standardization, and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong working knowledge of inventory methodologies including cycle counting, ABC classification, and FIFO/LIFO principles.

  • Data analysis, discrepancy investigation, and problem resolution.

  • Effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.



Preferences:


  • Bachelors degree in supply chain, operations or logistics.

  • Onsite in Mocksville, NC.
