Warehouse Operations Supervisor The warehouse operations supervisor is responsible for daily operations. This primarily involves assigning work to direct report associates who complete the daily workload, and thus satisfy our customer's needs. The work environment is time-bound and fast-paced. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support and enforce policies and standards of the Hillsboro plant.
- Maintain a high level of communication with the supply chain leadership team, internal customers, and external suppliers, to ensure expected service levels.
- Promote and maintain the internal work environment culture that is candid and focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost control.
- Provide direction, evaluation, discipline, empowerment, development, and support, to direct report associates.
- Safety - provide and promote a safe work environment.
- Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities.
- Training - process, systems, powered industrial equipment.
- Participate in completing daily tasks as needed.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams.
- Achieve and maintain Powered Industrial Equipment license.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who we are looking for
Critical Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education.
- Previous experience managing people.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively with external suppliers, direct reports, and other departments within the plant.
- Leadership: Must have demonstrated leadership skills which include motivating associates to complete tasks accurately and on time, leading by example, delegation, maintaining company standards, accountability.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify operational roadblocks and implement resolutions.
- Teamwork: Work cooperatively with the warehouse management team and supporting departments to accomplish the daily workload. Foster a culture of working as a team within the hourly staff.
- Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles.
- SAP experience.
- Computer skills: proficient in navigating Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, TEAMS, etc.).
- Must be highly organized with excellent time-management skills.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Possess potential for development and advancement.
- Must have schedule flexibility. Travel, weekend/holiday work, may be required.
