JOB SUMMARY: The Maple Grove Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing slab sales inventory. This includes receiving, unloading, inspecting, storing and issuing to meet customer demand. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Manages customer orders in JDE to locate, pick, and bundles slabs Operate the forklift to load/unload A-frames and L-frames of granite slabs for deliveries, move slabs to various warehouse and yard areas as necessary. Inspect all slabs received to ensure they meet quality specifications (size dimensions, color, cracks, seams, etc.) complete inspection log of any discrepcencies. Use grading qualifications when inspecting incoming slabs to ensure they meet standards for grade A slabs. If slabs do not meet standard regrade slabs to grade determined by standards. Operate forklift with clamp to pull slab lifts (bundles) out of the container and overhead crane to load slab lifts onto A-frames or L-frames. Process Transfer request in JDE system between consignment and showrooms to ensure slab availability. Coordinate deliveries and shipments for sub-contractor delivering to local vendors. Keep warehouse clean and free of debris Prepare and stage granite slabs for the Sales Department and customer visits. Process customer returns in JDE and ensure properly credited. Communicate via phone and respond to email to fill customer orders Perform necessary 5S and Total Productive Maintenance duties QUALIFICATIONS: One to three years experience understanding granite colors, JDE and logistics. Must have a valid driver's license. Must obtain forklift certification (training and certification provided by Coldspring for all employees who may be required to operate a forklift). Strong customer service skills. Must have excellent color perception; cannot be color blind or deficient. Knowledge of inventory management processes. General computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office suite of products. Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production. Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis in time management, improving efficiencies and exercising independent judgment to determine work priority and urgency. Mechanically inclined, general math skills, and ability to read a tape measure Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings. Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed.
