Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our growing team. As a Continuous Improvement Manager you are a part of the Element Continuous Improvement Team. The team is charged with the task to implement an improvement culture and structure in all Element locations and to execute improvement projects. The projects can be focused on process improvements in the machine shop, testing departments, logistics or the back office and include both physical and business processes. Additionally, improvement projects can be focused on capacity expansion. Some of the tools and methods that you will be using are 5S, Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma projects, Lean methods and Change Management trainings.

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000/yr DOE



Responsibilities

    Responsible for preparation, execution and aftercare of Improvement Projects
  • Will work closely with General Manager, Operations Managers, and Division Director
  • Making a plan with the locations' management for the Operational Excellence Roadmap
  • The measurement of progress and targeting of results from improvement projects
  • Coaching of change agents and management to ensure the maximum positive impact of the project on the Element stakeholders
  • Proactive and effective communication related to improvement initiatives
  • Mobilize commitment for change and enable the continuous sustainment of change initiatives


Skills / Qualifications

  • Must be experienced in managing complex and sensitive issues
  • Must be advanced Excel user
  • Competent use of statistics related to Business Improvement metrics
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively deal with internal customers; foster open upward and downward communication within the organization built on mutual respect
  • Well developed and effective verbal and written communication skills used in working with peers and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Project management skills to manage the process of providing excellent customer service, exceptional quality of service and turnaround, and continuous improvement
  • Broad knowledge of operations, engineering, and financial management
  • Must have valid driver's license, or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Six Sigma and/or lean certification from recognized governing body, insutution, or business entity
