Job Overview

Provides administrative, financial, and operational support for recruitment initiatives, student engagement programs, and Honors events. Coordinates purchasing, expense processing, travel arrangements, and financial tracking to ensure efficient and compliant program operations. Assists with event logistics, scholarship administration, and monitoring of program budgets, including local, gift, and endowment funds. Maintains accurate records, supports planning and forecasting activities, and provides guidance on university policies and procedures related to purchasing, travel, and financial transactions. Collaborates with unit leadership and staff to support program planning and serves as backup support for related administrative and operational functions as needed.



This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/2 days work from home) for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate administrative and operational support for recruitment programs, student engagement initiatives, and unit events throughout the academic year.
  • Assist with planning and logistical coordination of events, including scheduling, securing space, ordering materials, and supporting event setup and operations.
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions including expense reports, reimbursements, purchase orders, and procurement requests in accordance with university policies.
  • Manage purchasing and operational supply needs using institutional procurement systems and purchasing cards, ensuring accurate financial coding and documentation.
  • Maintain financial records and tracking tools to monitor program, event, and travel expenditures and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with domestic travel coordination including booking arrangements, preparing required travel documentation, and reconciling travel expenses.
  • Track and analyze program and event spending to support budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Administer scholarships and awards processing, including data entry, allocation of funds, and coordination in accordance with gift agreements and program guidelines.
  • Provide guidance on university purchasing, travel, and financial policies and serve as backup support for related administrative and operational functions within the unit.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree must be in accounting or related work.
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.


Required Experience

Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.
