Financial Systems Manager

A leading professional services organization is seeking a Manager of Financial Systems to oversee the platforms that support core Accounting and Finance operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Timekeeping, and Expense Management. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and timely financial reporting, while driving process improvements and supporting users across the organization. The Manager will also lead and develop a small team of systems analysts and serve as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors.

• Lead implementations, upgrades, and ongoing optimization of financial systems, including practice management, timekeeping, and expense platforms
• Evaluate new technologies, participate in vendor selection, and guide system configuration, testing, and deployment
• Manage project plans, timelines, and stakeholder coordination across Finance and IT
• Oversee financial system support processes, including month-end close activities and reconciliation of WIP, AR, and GL data
• Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with vendors, and manage incident escalation and resolution
• Administer change requests, testing cycles, data validation, and user communications
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, including calculations, workflows, and business rules
• Manage system access, security roles, and controls in partnership with IT
• Conduct routine audits, quality assurance checks, and data validation processes
• Develop and maintain custom reports using SQL, SSRS, and other reporting tools
• Deliver ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and data analyses to support Accounting and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with technical teams to enhance data architecture and reporting capabilities
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency through automation and system enhancements
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives across Finance operations
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of financial systems analysts
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and business teams to align systems with operational needs
