Job Summary


AMSOIL INC. is seeking a results-driven Distribution Center Manager to lead all aspects of Distribution Center operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient inventory flow, accurate order fulfillment, and consistently high service levels.


The Distribution Center Manager will balance hands-on operational oversight with strategic leadership-driving performance, optimizing processes, and developing a high-performing, safety-focused team. This role plays a critical part in achieving business objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.



Key Responsibilities


Operations Leadership & Management



  • Oversee and optimize daily warehouse operations, including workflow management, labor allocation, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) utilization
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute operational strategies and improvement initiatives
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive productivity, accuracy, and service excellence
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and associates to build a high-performing and engaged workforce
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe work environment
  • Identify operational challenges, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities



Additional Responsibilities



  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs
  • Understand and adhere to QMS/EMS system requirements relevant to the role
  • Promote a respectful, team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction



Qualifications


Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of warehouse or distribution management experience
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and RF scanning technology
  • Proven track record of leading teams in high-volume, fast-paced distribution environments
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered


Certifications (Preferred)



  • Forklift Certification (required)
  • APICS / ASCM certifications (CLTD, CSCP, or CPIM)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Certified Professional in Distribution & Warehousing (CPDW)



Leadership & Team Responsibilities



  • Supervise hourly distribution center staff
  • Maintain daily interaction with employees, customers, and dealer networks
  • Demonstrate commitment to company mission, values, and culture

  • Proactive communication of performance metrics and improvement opportunities
