Job Description
JOB TITLE: Controls Engineering Technician REPORTS TO: Controls Engineer or Maintenance Manager DEPARTMENT: Maintenance Pre Requisites: (Education and Experience) Associate degree in Engineering (PET, IET, EE, Met) or equivalent experience
Specific Duties: (Included but are not limited to) Designing, developing, installation and upgrade machine controls for assigned manufacturing machinery and equipment.
* Assist other employees as needed. Foster a team environment. * Utilize root cause analysis to address process and quality issues * Other duties as assigned. Preferred Skills: * Utilizing engineering principles and knowledge to effectively troubleshoot control Issues. * Effective written and oral communication skills. * Good people skills and ability to systematically troubleshoot. * Highly organized and able to work independently. Authorities: (Included but are not limited to) 1. Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any electrical issues 2. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. 3. Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems. 4. Verify the implementation of solutions. 5. Address safety issues upon discovery and/or notification.
